The 7th Plain - Shades Amaze (Concept EP)

Great EP of ambient techno by Luke Slater under his 7th Plain moniker. Uplifting, extremely well-produced, to say the least, the 4 songs on this so-called "concept EP" immersed us in a gigantic bubble bath of dulling subfrequencies, eventually energizing us with the closing track, "Trite (Live At Raw Club)", an uplifting piece of dreamy tech-house. Top drawer British electronic production, that deserves to sit right next to Spacetime Continuum's Sea Biscuit. (VG+/VG+)
