pepe maina - il canto dell'arpa e del flauto

MASTERPIECE of Italian prog-rock-turned-esoteric-ambient. Soft, dreamy and totally in the vein of Finis Africae (though il canto dell'arpa e del flauto was released almost 10 years prior to the Spanish band's debut). Perfect album, belonging to that corpus I love so much of "fantasy garden" music, next to Virgina Astley's From Garden Where We Feel Secure and Roedelius's Jardin Au Fou. Very confidential release, but somehow issued in Japan via the "European Rock Collection 2000", whose director had a thing for obscure Italian stuff. (VG+/ VG+)
