Took me ages to fall in love with a record from tacky new age label Windham Hill, but the coup de foudre eventually happened with this album of brilliant atmospheric guitar tunes. Extremely tasteless, aerial indeed, Michael Hedges's second LP on Windham Hill is a record I played countless times, whenever I didn't know what to put on. Halfway between Robbie Basho and Paris Texas-era Ry Cooder Aerial Boundaries is a very fines piece of ambient americana, and it's a cheap record, too. I'm especially fond of that Neil Young cover, "After The Gold Rush". Recommended! (VG+/VG+)
