Two side-long hypnagogic pieces on this split tape between Finnish musician Juho Toivonen and Swedish musician Civilistjavel! on Kashual Plastik.

Two sides of what I candidly imagine as the same coin of "nordic ambient" music, both diaphanous and ethereal, but of different quality: the almost rustic, candle-lit gentle noise loops and field recordings of Toivonen that slowly unfolds like mantra-driven music, and the abstract contrasts with cold, almost chirurgical but nonetheless enveloping sound sculptures of Civilistjavel!, that recall of Wolfgang Voigt, envelopping post deep-house pads and complexe rhythmic patterns.
