Wow... Most often than not, Italian prog gets on my nerve extremely quickly. Why do Italian bands have to add all these notes when they could do, like Il Paese Dei Balocchi on "Evasione", from their 1972 self-titled (and only) album. Absolutely jaw-dropping arrangements, and a sound ridiculously complex and deep for the time. It does have a few annoying moments, but most of the record is sparse and beautiful, ranging from string quartets to acid folk moments. One of the most beautiful artwork from that era too! Stunning! Japanese 1982 pressing (VG+/VG+)
