ECM - LP
Germany, 1972
Jazz / Fusion / Latin
An era defining record for jazz and a milestones in both Chick Corea's discography and in the ECM catalog. a sonic bath of lush electric pianos, clear drums, flutes and flora purim's singing. One of the few audiophile experiences that make sense.
Seminal first album by Return To Forever, only equaled by Light As A Feather and arguably the best jazz fusion LP recorded in the 1970's. Super lush sounds, never annoying fusion and amazing sound recording. It's one of these very few albums I cannot listen to on any support other than vinyl without feeling like I'm missing the point it tries to make.
One has to give credit for inventing this musical place that transcends geographical borders called latin-fusion jazz, connecting Brazil, with Europe and the US in a very seamless way.
Hadn't listen to this record for years, and it was a truly mesmerizing experience to discover it again.
Clean copy but laminated cover suffered a little (VG+ / VG)
