Great recording of very rarely recorded pieces by 17-18th century chamber music composer Marie-Alexandre Guénin, directed by Alfred Drapier. These different pieces are played by the students of the conservatory of Maubeuge, the hometown of Marie-Alexandre Guénin (that we see pictured in the 17th century as a painting on the cover), a city he left at the age of six for Paris to practice violin. Released on french custom label Le Kiosque d'Orphée, at probably very small quantities. (VG+/VG+)
