This is not only because it assembled many of the tropes that were to unfold throughout the decade, but also because it dared to offer full-on hippie folk songs (such as the immense “Rain for the field”-one of my favourite songs of the decade, one of the very few recent tunes that kind of sound like \u003cstrong\u003eAlice Coltrane\u003c\/strong\u003e and are good) alongside impressionist vignettes.
